Esker Monastery
We are a religious community of
priests and brothers, living and
working in Esker, Athenry, Co.
Galway, Ireland. Our Redemptorist
Community first came to Esker in
1901.
We
came here to spread the Gospel of
Jesus in the West of Ireland and
although our methods have may have
changed the message is still the
same. "God Loves Us." As a religious
community we offer parish missions
and novenas in the dioceses of
Clonfert, Raphoe, Achonry, Elphin,
Tuam, Galway, Killala and Killaloe.
Here at the monastery we welcome all
visitors from those who need
confession or consultation to those
who wish to get objects blessed e.g.
cars or religious goods. Many come
to the monastery to receive a
blessing of the first class relic of
St. Gerard Majella especially
expectant mothers, for whom St.
Gerard Majella is the patron saint.
